Getting with the program

This is my first time at a blog. I tried online diaries, but this looks a lot cooler. I'm going to try and keep myself on track on several levels. First, on my professional level. I am a self employed musical entertainer who books his own jobs. It's a three part process. 1. You have to book the job. 2. You have to play the job. 3. You usually have to collect the money. It's fun, I love it, and it's going really well.

The second thing I'd like to keep track of is my physical shape, or lack of. I'm 6'3" and currently weigh in at around 270. I'm told I carry it well which is probably why it's that high. I'm 55 years old and it would probably be a good idea to get into shape again. I've been there at various times in my life. I cycled a lot during the 90's and I'd like to get back into that. I like to jog in the morning when it's not too cold. My main problem is I need to stay motivated.

And the third thing I want to explore here is my spiritual life. I'll go into more detail later, but last night I sort of rediscovered Christian Science. I really do like their belief system. It is really a belief system. You either believe what the bible says or you don't. There's not much room for a middle ground. And I think most denominations are somewhere in the middle.
